What is EYFS?
EYFS stands for "Early Years Foundation Stage". It is a curriculum that sets standards for the quality of care for learning and development in the stage prior to elementary school and other primary education.In the United Kingdom, where compulsory education begins at the age of five, the EYFS covers children from birth to five years of school age.
Yoga International School, which has introduced the EYFS, is a preschool for children aged 1 to 5. We nurture their skills and confidence by allowing them to express their thoughts in words.
EYFSとは？
EYFSとは「Early Years Foundation Stage」の略です。 小学校などの初等教育より前の段階の学習や発達などのケアの質を基準に定めたカリキュラムになります。 5歳から義務教育がはじまるイギリスでは、生まれてから5歳就学前までの幼児期の子どもたちが対象です。
EYFSを導入している用賀インターナショナルスクールは0～5歳児を対象としたプリスクールです。 自分の考えを言葉で表現することで、スキルと自信を育んでいます。

Students always ask questions: why the sky is blue, or how do rockets shoot to the sky?! STEM is the experience of expressing their thoughts in words and shapes which will not only be useful in the field of science and technology, but also in their everyday lives in the future. We respect the desire to know and learn by one’s self, thus by creating classes based on STEM education, we hope to draw out each child’s own creative and outward thinking potential.
「空はなぜ青いのか」「ロケットはどうやって空に飛ばすのか」など、生徒たちはいつも疑問を抱いています。STEMは、自分の考えを言葉や形で表現することで、科学技術の分野だけでなく、将来の日常生活にも役立てることができる体験です。自分で知りたい、学びたいという気持ちを大切にし、STEM教育をベースにした授業で、子どもたち一人ひとりの創造力や発想力を引き出していきたいと考えています。
